Scott Goodwin is a successful CEO and entrepreneur. He
has 14 years of international experience within Telecommunications
and IT and a demonstrable ability to drive sales through innovative
distribution and marketing methodologies.
After three years on Siemens graduate programme he left to
join Mercury communications where he spent the next 4 years
in a variety of sales and business development roles.
In 1995 Telia AB the Swedish National telecommunication operator
recruited Scott to head up the business development functions
of its newly started UK venture. Within three years he had
generated sales of over £120m from nothing. By 1999
Scott was employed in the position of UK Sales and Marketing
director, with a P&L responsibility of £70m pa.
In the summer of 1999 Scott accepted the role of CEO for Telia
Mobile UK and he was charged with the responsibility of managing
the groups interests within a consortium (Telia, Granada Media
and Carlton TV) applying for a UK 3G licence.
After the bid Scott managed the groups' mobile interests in
the UK, which included the multi access mobile portal Speedy
Tomato. The portal was voted "World Best Mobile Portal"
at the Mobile Telecommunications in Cannes 2001.
